Great product and super cheap for what you get. Basically a full featured iPad at 1/5 the price. No notable flaws; allows me to read books on the go, listen to music and browse the internet at high speeds. The screen resolution isn't the greatest but it's well worth the money. The googleplay app store is fantastic and allows seamless installation of free apps. I would recommend this to someone who wants a kindle that also plays media and apps.

This arrived promptly. The box was not big enough to hold the British power plug and so the tablet was scratched where it rubbed. I expected a usb adapter power plug. After only 3 hours of use the usb cable failed. I'd hoped for a decent length usb cable, not the short skinny one supplied. It must have only a few tiny strands per core. After hunting around and a bit of testing I've bought a replacement usb charger cable. The tablet is neat, seems well made and functions very well. The battery capacity is low, for moderate use I need it plugged in and charging. I'd like a neoprene envelope or maybe a book style hard cover but amazon don't seem to match one specifically to this tab.
Overall I'm happy it's not a cheap fake, except for the usb cable.

    I've had an iPad 2 tablet for a while and, though I love it, it isn't the ideal tablet for me and this is mainly due to the fact that it is so large, bulky and heavy.

    A 10 inch tablet is wonderful for watching movies and iPlayer stuff but I can't fit it in my bag and it is cumbersome and heavy to hold in bed at night when I like to read books with the Kindle app dimmed down.

    So, as soon as I saw that Amazon were bringing out a 7 inch screen device, I jumped at the chance to get one. I had minor quibbles when I saw the iPad Mini was coming out but when I saw the price which is almost what I paid for my 10 inch iPad 2 - seriously Apple? You're having a laugh! It's way too pricy for what it is combined with the fact that the specs are not nearly as good as the Kindle Fire HD.

    Arrived today, already read some bad reviews, well my opinion is , great for the money, everything works, there's people complaing Kindle Fire HD 7", Dolby Audio, Dual-Band Wi-Fi, 16 GB - With Special Offers about apps, install your own, not difficult, just allow it, , settings, google it, flash working , so is u tube, bbci player working, these moaners havnt even got use to it or tried to install anything apart from amazon store,the only thing i see wrong with this is finding the on off and vol buttons in the dark,

    Let me get one thing straight - I have an iPad, used daily. I bought the Kindle Fire Hd primarily for reading, and as a mobile library, with immediate access to a book store, I cannot rate it highly enough for my purposes. On top of this I have access to my email, a place to show off my favourite photos, some useful apps, a bit of music and the opportunity to stream videos. This means when I am travelling, and away for periods of time in our camper I have everything I need, and don't have to take the IPad + kindle + chargers (I hate reading books on the IPad, the Kindle fire hd with its cover still feels like a regular book). I love having colour, the book covers are so much more inviting, and magazines are brought to life. On top of all this I can keep in touch with my cousins in America via Skype.

    I've been involved with computers for over 40 years. Most of that time I was writing software that ranged from System software to commercial applications. I've seen computers shrink from rooms full of equipment to something that you can carry in your hand. However up to very recently I have had no experience of tablets, or indeed, smartphones.
    Some months ago I bought a cheap 10" tablet with the intention of using it as an intro to tablets. It became obvious that although it was good at what it did the tablet had many restrictions - it dropped wifi at will and there was no feeling that it would last for a long time. So I decided that I would buy another tablet - my Christmas present - that would have the functionality that I wanted and would hopefully last for some time. Price was of course a consideration and �200 was as high as I could realistically go.

    Cambridge Sciences G7 III Review

    I have been using pc's since the days of the ZX Spectrum so no stranger to technology, and carried out a lot of research before deciding to buy this tablet. My impressions were that this was a great tablet for the price but at least one amazon customer had posted a review saying they had received the earlier model (Vector G7 II) which runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread. As the hardware and front-end O/S are identical it is impossible to tell without checking in the settings; on the plus side the G7 II reviews (8 & 16GB) are as informative as the G7 III ones because of this.

    I received this tablet one week ago and took the time to play around with it for a bit before posting a review. The tablet is neat and comes with several apps pre-installed - BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, Amazon Kindle, Aldiko and ebay, to name a few. And it is running Android 3.0, as advertised. The screen is very responsive and setting up wifi was a straightforward process. Navigating is fairly intuitive, especially for someone who is used to Android.

    I've had no problems with it - I've downloaded apps from the UK Android Market, both free and paid, without a hitch. I've streamed content directly from the BBC and 4OD, and thought the quality was excellent. I've only briefly looked at the camera and video but the quality seemed decent enough. I've used the pre-installed browser to surf the internet, and it's been generally very good - there seem to be occasional gremlins but restarting the browser usually solves the problem.
