To be honest I was never entirely convinced by the tablet PC thing, but I liked the idea of an Android 4 platform with a screen that was bigger than a phone so I thought I'd try one of these. It didn't cost much more than a basic Kindle and I thought it'd do as an e-reader even if it was rubbish at everything else.

Well, it's not rubbish as it happens. In fact it's a really nice little device and is a total bargain at the price.

The build quality is top-notch, it has a satisfying weight in the hand without being heavy and the touch screen is very responsive with a crisp, clean picture. The processor handles the very latest version of Android 4 (which it ships with) like a dream and the whole thing is a pleasure to use. It came with the Facebook and YouTube apps pre-installed as well as a file manager, and it also came with a USB lead and a recharger. Like a lot of people I probably spent far too much time researching various budget 7 inch android tablets. I wish I had seen this one first of all as it would have saved me many hours of googling. I am, quite frankly, blown away by the quality, performance and responsiveness of this CloudNine Neuropad2 Tablet.

Like other reviewers the deciding factors for me were full android market, flash support, capacitive touch screen and the very lovely android 4 (ICS) OS.

I would say the sensitivity of the device, in my opinion, is easily on a par with my ipod touch.

I have installed quite a few apps - the usual Angry birds (for the kids, of course), Kindle Reader, iplayer, live wallpapers plus many other games, and they all work flawlessly.

All the preinstalled apps, such as Facebook, Youtube, Skype etc. all work fine - no crashes or freezes.

This was the third attempt since last Christmas to acquire a 7 inch tablet. After the second failed attempt I spent a lot of time reading up on Android tablets. To state the obvious: it depends what you want the tablet for, and, you get what you pay for.
For a machine in its price bracket, the CloudNine Neuropad2 Tablet is a great option! It does what I wanted it for.
It's a slim, elegant machine with a great screen and good speaker. It comes with Android 4.0.3 which is a great experience after Android 2.2 or 2.3. No problems connecting to WiFi, even to non-broadcasting networks, something not every tablet will do in my experience.

    Any attempt to look for some advice to buy a genuine Sandisk microSD (any strength - in my case a 32GB card for my Samsung GALAXY tab) is met by a plethora of internet-based opinions and information as regards the masses of fake cards flooding the markets these days....most originating from some wheelie bin outside a Chinese factory.

    Human that I am, I looked around for a week and realised that dependable sellers (Amazon, Play.com, PC world etc) were all selling a Sandisk 32GB card for � 70-85 while the shady ones (Amazon marketplace, eBay etc) were dishing them out at �25-40! Hence, I decided to try my luck (and money) and bought one card from eBay after an extensive search. It cost me �35.00 + �1.98 and the seller was a `power seller' with 100% feedback. Nothing could go wrong......or I assumed huh...?

    Bought to replace the standard 4gb card in a HTC Desire.
    Simply copied the contents of the old card to my PC, swapped the cards over and then copied the contents back. Hey Presto - it all works a treat. No need for formatting (in fact the 'format' option was greyed-out, so I presume it was pre-formatted).

    I bought this 16GB micro SD card to use with my Blackberry Bold 9780. It arrived much faster than I was expecting within the terms of the free delivery, which was a good start. It was the combination of price, delivery and previous experience with SanDisk products that led me to choose this over some of the others on offer here.

    Changing from the 2GB card which came with the phone was really easy and straightforward. I copied all the content from the Blackberry's various folders onto my PC laptop, then swapped out the 2GB card for the 16GB one. I wasn't sure if I'd need to get into formatting it or not... as it turned out I didn't. There was a quick message displayed after I powered up the phone (it was there and gone so fast that I just about managed to read a reference to "media card" before it disappeared) and that was it - when I explored the card it already had the empty folders ready to receive my files.     My wife has a Kindle and was trying to persuade me that I needed one too for our hols. So I found this little fella for the same price and thought it would be much more versatile and allow me to watch vids, surf, play games AND use the Kindle app.
    The first thing I noticed when I unpacked it is the build quality feels good. The white back looks nice too and every port is marked up on the back.
    The microSD card slot, in spite of some people moaning, works OK. You just need to push the card further in than on PC devices. I personally think this is intentional so you don't have a quarter of an inch of card sticking out of a portable device just waiting to get hit.
    The screen looks great (the lowish res is only noticeable sometimes while file exploring) and is nice and sensitive. The only gripe I have is that the screens touch recognition misbehaves while charging. I can live with that.

    Well I have only had it for a day but I've got it working and the kids have played angry bird and angry bird in space on it so they are happy.
    On a serious note, I had a job loading kindle from my account. So I deleted the app and re-loaded it from google play. The instructions say that the device does not support android market but this has been taken over by google now and called google play. This seems to work fine. I have only tried a few free apps but no problems. When the tablet is shipped it has a sleep function after 1 minute. I suggest you change this pronto. If you are reading the screen for more than 60 seconds it goes black. It worried me until I read the instructions! I've set it to 10 minutes and this is ok for me. I have also set up an email account (gmail), surfed the net a bit and now have it on charge. So far, it does what I wanted- free games for the kids, wifi internet from the sofa, email and kindle books for holidays. I didn't want to spend a fortune on an... Read more
