Smart tablet at a good price,

My wife has a Kindle and was trying to persuade me that I needed one too for our hols. So I found this little fella for the same price and thought it would be much more versatile and allow me to watch vids, surf, play games AND use the Kindle app.
The first thing I noticed when I unpacked it is the build quality feels good. The white back looks nice too and every port is marked up on the back.
The microSD card slot, in spite of some people moaning, works OK. You just need to push the card further in than on PC devices. I personally think this is intentional so you don't have a quarter of an inch of card sticking out of a portable device just waiting to get hit.
The screen looks great (the lowish res is only noticeable sometimes while file exploring) and is nice and sensitive. The only gripe I have is that the screens touch recognition misbehaves while charging. I can live with that.

Well I have only had it for a day but I've got it working and the kids have played angry bird and angry bird in space on it so they are happy.
On a serious note, I had a job loading kindle from my account. So I deleted the app and re-loaded it from google play. The instructions say that the device does not support android market but this has been taken over by google now and called google play. This seems to work fine. I have only tried a few free apps but no problems. When the tablet is shipped it has a sleep function after 1 minute. I suggest you change this pronto. If you are reading the screen for more than 60 seconds it goes black. It worried me until I read the instructions! I've set it to 10 minutes and this is ok for me. I have also set up an email account (gmail), surfed the net a bit and now have it on charge. So far, it does what I wanted- free games for the kids, wifi internet from the sofa, email and kindle books for holidays. I didn't want to spend a fortune on an...
