Brilliant piece of tech for a nice price! I must say don't expect lightning fast 3D games and blistering performance after all it's not an Archos or iPad not even close but I still feel it holds its own in an already competative market. The Android 2.2 (Froyo) is a nice and smooth OS and the Android Market (real market too) has all the apps you'll ever need, Kindle works like a dream, Facebook was a little buggy on mine but replaced that with the earlier version and now it's all sweet. The web browser is ace for just general viewing and surfing, iPlayer can be fiddly but easily solved via the android market.

So far i've managed 4 1/2hours on a full charge including heavy Facebooking (flashgames), eBay and Youtube plus watching a 2hr 720p Avi file, I must say though if you arn't using this device online turn the wifi off as it's a major drain on the battery and also "Advance Taskill" is a must have app installed (free from the market). I picked this tablet up just wanting something to act as a cheap E-reader/Cbr Viewer and to watch the occasional video on when the TV is otherwise engaged and do a bit of browsing.

The stock firmware is your typical half Chinese junk with a multitude of weird apps no one would want and random bits of Engrish everywhere. Thankfully there is a Tabtronics website that holds updated firmware for the device, I updated to 1.5.1 (The most recent as of now) which took about 5 minutes, upon powering the tablet back on it was much improved, I believe GoClickIt may be starting to ship these devices with the newer firmware, if not its a simple job to update it.

The tablet itself looks identical to an iPad, only smaller, the Power and Menu buttons on the edge are a little "cheap" and "clicky" but to be fair you won't use them much (theres an onscreen menu button anyways). Under no circumstances compare this with an I-pad. Once that is out of the way, this little item that I have owned for the past month now works beautifully for what I'm doing. The only bit of the advertising I'd have to take exception to is the "High Quality loud speaker". To be honest, my nokia phone is 3 times the volume. But come on... I can browse the web at reasonable speed. I can access my hotmail and google accounts effortlessly. I can read my kindle ebooks in bed without a light on. I can access facebook easily every few minutes. I can sit in the garden and read the news webpaper. Suprisingly I can also watch movies pretty well as long as the movie is not too high def. It is not possible to watch I-player but I can live with that. Let's face it, for less than it costs for 10 packets of fags, do yourself a favour and treat yourself to this handy little toy.
